Montgomery, Alabama, May 12, 2004 - ProEthic Laboratories LLC, a Montgomery, Alabama-based marketer and distributor of an exclusive line of prescription products, has appointed Norman Schellenger to the position of vice president, sales and marketing, a post charged with overseeing and expanding the company’s sales force.
Schellenger, who has more than 40 years of management and consulting experience with major public and private pharmaceutical companies, has served as a consultant to ProEthic since its inception in 2001. He currently serves as a director and managing member.
“As ProEthic moves aggressively toward expanding the distribution of our product line throughout the country, Norm will play a critical part in helping us reach our target customers and sales goals,” said Carl Whatley, chief executive officer of ProEthic. “His wisdom, leadership and experience will enhance our competitive posture, and we are thrilled and fortunate that he has agreed to take on this vital role.”
Over the past four decades, Schellenger has held positions with several pharmaceutical companies, including A.H. Robins (now a division of Wyeth), Whitby Laboratories, UCB Pharma, Barre National and American Home Products. He also has served as a consultant to Pediamed Pharmaceutical and Cebert Pharmaceutical, and he sits on the boards of KV Pharmaceuticals and Inkine Pharmaceuticals.
